Are you sending a tracing?:
YES! I want to assure proper size/shape. Tombstone is responsible for fit to tracing. Tracing will show hole pattern. **************************************
NO. I will be responsible if I choose the wrong size grip. I will measure my gun and compare to the listed specs. If I order a grip that is the wrong size or shape, I agree that it is NOT returnable. *****************************************************
I already mailed a tracing BEFORE I placed this order.

This grip is for the Bond standard size derringer and is a staghorn pattern. You get two spacers and the mounting kit installed (No.4 kit) also. The two spacers are fitted to the frame ID and epoxy glued to the backside of each grip panel so the grips can't rotate. If you want to make sure your epoxy glue is sufficiently tough, just drill a small pin hole, say 3/32 inch or so, through the spacer and a short distance into the grip back, and install a steel pin that fits snugly so it needs to be tapped in with a little hammer. Usually a 1,500 psi standard epoxy is fine if you clean the surfaces well before applying it.

Bond derringer, stag The reason I don't provide the grip kit with the spacers attached is so you can properly fit them to your individual gun for best fit. Using another gun might not take into account any manufacturing tolerance or changes in the frame design. Best to fit each grip precisely to your own gun. It's not hard. Just requires paying attention and not trying to rush the job.

The grip dimensions are given in reference to letters, assigned to point on the grip outline.
  • Top of the grip, dead center, is called "B".
  • The bottom pointy part of the grip is called "A".
So the straight line measurement is taken between these points, and to the center of the screw hole:
    • A to B = 2.3 inches
    • A to screw hole center = 0.9 inches
    • Widest part of the top = 1.4 inches
    • Width of a line through the screw hole center, parallel to the line across the widest part of the top = 1.3 inches.
This grip is shaped like a fat comma. There are few spots where you can make a positive measurement and write it down in a way that informs another person just where that is. But the above gives you some repeatable points to use.

Note that this grip is secured by a single No.4 mounting screw with the standard brass ferrule and press fit nut, unless you specify otherwise. If you tell me NOT to install this kit, I'll send it in a little bag anyway so you can change your mind if you wish and install it yourself.

Stock items (medallions, screws, specials) usually ship within 10 days.
I can't promise a specific ship date, as it will vary with circumstances.
Depending on the time of year and number of orders pending, average time to finish a grip order is 30 to 90 days. That's average, not a guarentee. They are all individually made to your specific order.

If you do not have time to wait then you may want to consider not ordering. I can only produce quality grips if I take the time necessary to finish your order
