Other Brands

There are thousands of different handguns, both discontinued and current production, including many which were not built by any of the more familiar firms like Colt, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, or the famous olden-day makers like Remington. Some may be copies of famous brands, sold as replicas, and I try to put those under the name of the original manufacturer. Others are here either because they don't really fit another category, or because even if they do fit another category, they can be used for other guns (and frequently are purchased for a gun that isn't the same as the other brand under which they may be listed).

I have divided the guns into general types, although there is some overlap depending on what you mean by a small pocket auto versus a medium frame that segues into the standard auto category. The main idea is just to break them out into groups so you can locate them. If you think a gun should be under a different category, you are probably right! But if you found the grip regardless, all I can say is "no academics were harmed in the making of this website"!
