Jennings Arms is one name for a series of guns which was manufactured by a number of firms, each taking over
production as the last one failed or sold out. Many of these are now made or owned by Cobra, and are produced with
minor changes under different model designations. Therefore, the grips may in fact interchange among a few different
brands of pistols that look the same but have different manufacturers and models.
In the J-22 pocket 22 LR auto pistol, there are two Jennings variations which use different grips for the same model. The
early models used a safety that moved back and forth and had a shallow but long cut in the top of the left grip. The
later models used a safety control that moved up and down, and therefore had a deeper and somewhat more narrow cutout
in the top of the grip. Be sure to order the right one for your gun.
