The Ruger GP101 and the adjustable sight GP100, as well as
a few other Ruger revolvers, use grips with these larger
panels. The fixed sight GP100 uses the small panel, same size
as in the SP101. I have a separate listing for that one.
Be sure to check the sizes and get the correct one for
your gun!
These are about .280 inches thick at the base, and 0.200 thick at the top. It is the "middle" of three thickness offerings listed.
RIGHT PANEL:
- 2.7 inches, rear top corner to front bottom corner
- 1 inch, across the top just below the saddle area
- 1.4 inches, across the bottom up from the rounded corners
- 1.4 inches from bottom to screw hole center
- 1.12 inches across the screw hole, front to back
LEFT PANEL:
- Same as right panel, except top is domed upward.
These look especially nice in tinted or colored pearl,
such as pink, blue, green, or gold. Gold pearl is striking
in the black rubber grip body.
Please Note:
As with all Tombstone Grip Kits, these are sold as semi-finished
kits. You may wish to do more polishing or sand them to
a uniform thickness. Instructions for doing this come with
the grips and are available here, on the main website links.
Most people read the "Please Read BEFORE Ordering" message
at the main webpage, so they know exactly what to expect.
A miniscule proportion (less than 1%) of my customers don't
seem to read that or understand what it says, ignore the
many messages and notices about the fact that I sell
grip kits rather than completely finished grips, and are
incensed that they got what they ordered! Don't let that
happen to you: "Read All About It", as the newsboy shouts
on the corner. If you don't understand, send me an email
first and I'll try to make it clear. All I want is for
you to get good quality grips that are large enough to
fit your gun with a little sanding. (These panel inserts
normally don't need sanding to fit, although if you are
very picky you might want to put a micrometer on them for
thickness and rub them back-side down on sandpaper to
make them exactly the same.)
