This is a stainless steel, fillister head, slotted screw with 4-40 threads and a 1/4-inch (.250) length. It can be used as a means of preventing a grip panel from rotating by drilling and tapping into the back of the grip, threading the hole and screwing in this short screw so that the head bears against the side of the gun frame cut-out when the grip is on the gun. One or two such "locator" pins will prevent the grip from moving.
