This 1/4-inch long stainless steel fillister head slotted screw with 4-40 threads is used as a stud or locating pin on the back of certain autoloader grips, to keep them from rotating about the mounting screw, as well as for holding some kinds of grips similar to the Nagant (but not necessarily the Nagant -- I use a modified pan head of 3/8 or 1/4 inch depending on the thickness of the grip).
