Are you sending a tracing?:
YES! I want to assure proper size/shape. Tombstone is responsible for fit to tracing. Tracing will show hole pattern. **************************************
NO. I will be responsible if I choose the wrong size grip. I will measure my gun and compare to the listed specs. If I order a grip that is the wrong size or shape, I agree that it is NOT returnable. *****************************************************
I already mailed a tracing BEFORE I placed this order.

This is a smooth, round top set of grips for the Browning 1906 Vest Pocket 25 ACP pistol, which was later replaced by the "Baby Browning". These grips are made for the larger Vest Pocket, the original model. There are spacers which you fit into the cut out on the grip frame, and then epoxy glue to the back of the grip panels. These keep the grip panels from moving. They are clamped to the gun with the mounting screw, but could rotate or slide if there were no spacers attached. Just use the regular 5 minute epoxy 2-part mix, which is sold at nearly all hardware stores, supermarkets, and by the guy with the trench coat lurking around the corner.

If you are concerned at all about the tremendous recoil of the 6.35mm cartridge, you can drill a small hole through the spacer and about half way into the grip panel, and press a short steel pin into it. I generally do this a different way by making a small hole part way into the grip back, and threading or glueing a short No.4 machine screw into it, so the head is all that shows. I paint the head of the screw with a Magic Marker pen, and press the spacer in place against it to transfer an ink dot to the spacer. Then I drill a hole in the spacer so the screw head will fit into it snugly. That provides a solid recoil adsorbing stop, and helps take stress off the glued surface.

Actually the 5 minute epoxy does a good job by itself IF you clean the surfaces first with acetone. Acetone is sometimes sold as fingernail polish remover, although there are non-acetone brands which advertise the fact on the container. These may not work to prepare the grip and spacer surfaces. Don't get any acetone on a polymer gun or on factory plastic grips! They are not as chemical resistant as Tombstone polyurethane. The idea is to remove all traces of grease, oil, fingerprints, etc., from the surface so that the epoxy glue will have a solid clean place to bond. If you do that, mix the 2 part epoxy well, and hold the spacer under finger pressure for a minute or so, then wait a half hour or more before moving or installing the grips, the bond should be strong and permanent.

The default mounting is a 2-56 screw with nut and ferrule installed. If you wish, I can just drill the holes and leave the screws up to you. Some people want to use two separate screws which thread into the frame. The 2-56 screw is slightly smaller diameter and passes through the gun frame, so that if the original frame threads are damaged it won't matter. Or if the original screws are lost, the single screw mount is stronger anyway, being modern stainless steel. And of course you can't see the screw except for a tiny dot at either end, inside the brass ferrule and nut. Most people think it looks very nice with the silver center and brass ring around it. If you wish, you can get a blackening chemical or powder coat finish from a company such as Brownell's, and touch up the head and threaded end tip with it. I don't have any black 2-56 stainless screws.

Stock items (medallions, screws, specials) usually ship within 10 days.
I can't promise a specific ship date, as it will vary with circumstances.
Depending on the time of year and number of orders pending, average time to finish a grip order is 30 to 90 days. That's average, not a guarentee. They are all individually made to your specific order.

If you do not have time to wait then you may want to consider not ordering. I can only produce quality grips if I take the time necessary to finish your order

Be SURE to read the TERMS of SALE page, so you KNOW what you are getting.
