Double action Colt revolvers and clones

In this category are both the classic solid frames, such as the Official Police and the New Service 1917, and some of the early double actions such as the Colt Lightning and Colt Thunderer. (Some clients look for Lightning grips under the single action category by mistake just because they are an old style revolver.)

Please send a tracing if there is the slightest doubt about whether the grip specs are big enough to fit your gun with a little sanding. You can always make them smaller, but it's pretty hard to make them larger! Gun frames vary, even in the same model, with production times and with minor changes in patterns, tolerances, and phases of the moon! A pencil tracing or stiff paper template goes a long way toward eliminating surprises.
