This grip fits Ruger "2005" 44 Magnum Blackhawk series SA frames such as the Vaquero. It will NOT fit the "older" XR-3 or XR-3RED frames. The master was cut from a new Factory grip. I DID NOT CUT THE "SAFETY LOCK" RECESS IN THE BACK OF THIS GRIP. You will need to do this using a moto tool or similar tool. The material is easy to work; it doesn't split or crack easily and can be sanded, drilled, filed, etc. You can find out what grip frame you have by removing the grips, and looking at the numbers molded into the grip. You can also look up your serial number and model on Ruger's new website, and it will tell you which grip frame you have. The "shamrock" (31b)also fits the 2005 anniversary model.
