This set of two flat spacers fits under the grip panels
of the Ruger GP-101 and the Ruger SP100 adjustable sight
model. The spacer has holes for the grip pin and screw,
so that you can simply epoxy glue the spacer to the
back of the grip and avoid making a hole in the grip
panel itself for the alignment pin.
The spacer raises the grip panel above the surface of
the rubber grip, so that you can either sand the edges
to blend it and make a grip suited for a larger hand, or
you can secure the spacer to the panel, then use a piece
of sandpaper tacked to a flat board as a rubbing surface
to reduce the spacer to desired thickness, matching the
panel edge with the edge of the cut-out in the grip.
The SP100 with fixed sights uses a smaller grip panel and
spacer. Be sure to compare and order the correct size
for your gun. The color shouldn't matter because the spacer
does not show. If you want it to be colored or pearl,
I can make it that way, but mixing the special tiny batch
of colored resin costs more than the insert. Glad to do it,
but it doesn't really seem necessary. If you order a
matching grip panel at the same time, in a certain
color, and just indicate you want the same color for
the spacer using the "note" entry, I'll do it free...I'd
be mixing up the batch for your grip panel anyway. Don't
check the options, though. That automatically adds the
color or pearl fee. Just tell me with the note.
