This is a 5-40 x 7/8 inch long slotted fillister head screw which is a common length for small frame revolvers, or thin grips on most single actions. The No.5 screw is one which was used on some of the early Jay Scott grips, but those were generally a carbon steel and may show corrosion or rust. These are stainless steel, both stronger and more resistant to corrosion than the original screws.
