This is a steel No. 5 screw (5-40) with slotted fillister head and length of 1-1/4 inch. It is a zinc-plated steel screw, which is easier to cut to shorter lengths than the stainless steel screws. (I do not have this particular size and length in stainless. If you need 1-1/4 inch length in stainless, you can get the 1-3/8 screws and cut or grind 1/8-inch off the end.) This is the same material, thread, and length used in many of the 1950's Jay Scott grips. Other sizes used were 3-45 x 1 and 5-40 x 1. I only know this because I once bought the entire inventory of a large gun store's Jay Scott grips, and replaced quite a few of the missing screws. So if it should happen to make any difference, this is an "authentic" replacement screw for some of the Jay Scott grips used on revolvers.
