This is a 5-40 fillister head slotted 1-in long screw with black oxide finish, plus brass press-in nut and ferrule. The threads are 1/2-inch long, with a solid non-threaded 1/2-inch shank to the head. This is the only black oxide finished screw currently available (from Tombstone). I do not have other threads or engths in black oxide for small quantity sale (I can provide just about any size and length if you buy 50,000 -- price reflects the production savings fo higher quantity). The brass ferrule and nut press fit into a 0.348 diameter flat bottom hole, and are 1/4 inch diametr across the serration lands. Tombstone screw kits are made so you can use the same diameter of mounting hole for all three main thread sizes. Smaller screw sizes just have more margin around the head and thread. The supply of these special screw kits is limited (this is not sales talk: I only have a small quantity as indicated). When these are sold out, there is a good chance I won't be able to replace them for this cost, and they may not be in enough demand to try to re-stock in any case. It's an experiment!
