This is a set of 5 No.2 x 56tpi grip mounting screw kits,
with press-in brass ferrule and nut. These are ideal for thin auto-pistol grips, or for the 1903 Colt,
1908 Colt 25, 25 ACP Browning and clones, and the .32 ACP
and .380 ACP Browning 1910 and 1955 models. They can be used
on larger grips also, since the stainless steel screws have
plenty of reserve strength. In general the 4-40 screw kit
is preferred for general purpose double and single actions,
although these work nicely for top breaks and other guns having
relatively small grips.
You may need to cut the screws to length for your set of
grips and pistol frame thickness. The screw is a fillister
head stainless steel 2 x 56 x 1 inch length. The nut and
ferrule fit into a .25 inch hole (press fit). Leave
a minimum of .020 inches of grip material below the nut
and ferrule to prevent pulling through when the screw is
tightened.(Always tighten with proper hollow-ground
turnscrew).
