This grip has a stylized skull engraved into the surface, which helps provide a non-slip surface. I've heard of people filling it with gold colored enamel paint or gold leaf, on a pearl material, but it you use it a lot the paint would probably have to be replaced periodically. This grip is the same general size as my other Llama Mini-Max grips. The hole spacing is: Base to center of bottom hole = 0.3 inches Centerlines of both holes = 2.95 inches apart. The holes are about the same size as you find on a 1911 Colt pistol grip, except that there is no stud on the gun frame. The hole in the grip is about 0.1915 inches in diameter from the back to about .128/.135 inches deep, then the screw head fits into a 0.29 inch hole about .11 inches deep. Overall grip thickness at the screw hole is around .25 inches. You can adjust it by sanding the back to make the grip thinner. This grip doesn't have medallion options because it would look rather bad to put a medallion over the recessed carving of the skull! But if you want something special such as a pewter skull medallion in the "forehead" of the carved skull, write me a note! Medallions are $14 a pair installed. We can handle it by email if it is something too odd to put on the listing!
