This is similar to but thicker than the factory clone grips, and smooth to show off pearl effects. (The factory grips have a pebble finish.) The thicker panels give you a more comfortable grip for handling the recoil of the larger calibers. They can be sanded thinner if desired. You're probably asking why these would be listed both under "Other manufacturers" and under "Colt". It is because the over-under Colt derringer could also use this grip. The Cobra is much like the old Colt design. But of course, the best thing is to compare specs and send a pencil tracing to make sure. The grips do not come with mounting screw kit installed. They use two separate screws which come with the gun. The dimensions for this grip are: Height through screw hole center = 2 inches Maximum distance across from bottom tip upward = 2.1 inches Distance from bottom tip to screw hole center = 1.1 inches Width through the screw hole center = 1 inch Width across top, widest point = 1 inch Screw hole center to rear edge = .48 inches
