This is a pocket auto based on (and made using imported parts from) the Bernardelli 68, which was a modernized version of nearly identical gun commonly called the Bernardelli VB (because of the company logo prominently displayed on the grips).
It is no longer manufactured. Bernardelli and Iver Johnson, in the original versions of the businesses, no longer exist, although the Iver Johnson name is still used in making various other firearms.
These are smooth, slightly more hand-filling grips rather than the
thin flat (often cracked) factory design. You can make
them thinner by sanding the back sides. A fair amount
of relief area is needed to clear the controls but the
depth of cut is shallow and not hard to make with a Dremel or other rotary bit tool.
The dimensions of the grip are:
The grip will require some relief on the left panel back,
and both grips are secured from rotation about the
screw, in the original, by a molded projection at the
rear bottom of the grip. Since the grips are flat-
backed as created, you can epoxy glue a small round
stud to the grip back, to match the hole in the frame.
