This is a set of grips for the High Standard Supermatic
Trophy Military model, with the same shape as the HS_66c.
Same grip for High Standard Supermatic Military Tournament
22 auto pistol, as well as HS pistols built on the same grip
frame. This would include the Victor, Trophy, Citation, and
other models with the same angle of grip.
Some models were made with two angles of grip, one
similar to the Colt 1911 .45 pistol and one with a
greater angle. You can tell by the appearance whether
the angle of your gun grip is similar or not.
This is a smooth grip with thumbrest. It is made in a mold
and looks just like the image except the illustration shown
is Australian Opal (white opal), which is available as
an option in the drop-down menu choices. Standard priced
grip is the natural ivory color. The smooth grip looks
much nicer than the checkered with pearl effects.
There is some relief work required on the right grip back.
Be careful when removing your grips, as they help secure
parts of the mechanism. If you lift the grip off carefully
the parts stay in place, but may easily pop out and
be lost if you handle the gun with grips removed.
TIP: Spread an old pillow case or part of a bedsheet on
your work area, spread it out, and use it to both catch
and easily see the tiny parts in case a spring is
dislodged. Leave the gun on top of this cloth while
the grips remain off, and slip the gun into a clear
plastic freezer bag to further retain anything that
might get away. This is just general advice for most
auto pistols, as many of them use the grips to help
retain small parts, especially trigger and sear linkages
