This set of grips is for the 1903 Colt blowback operated
.32 (and later .380) pocket automatic pistol, 3rd and
4th versions. It has a smooth border around the word
"Colt" and the rampant colt logo is not inside a circle,
as with the 1st version grips.
The grip kit comes with separate spacers which are to be
sanded to fit precisely inside the grip frame's magazine
well cutout, and then epoxied to the back of the grips
once the grips are aligned and secured with the screw.
Instructions come with the grips explaining how this is
done easily.
The 1903 Colt Pocket Automatic is not the same gun as the
1902/1903 .38 Automatic, even though this larger gun was
also produced in a shortened frame version and sold as a
"pocket automatic pistol". The .38 Automatic was a locked
breech, recoil operated gun, firing a round that is now
obsolete but is the same case dimensions as the .38 Super.
(Never fire .38 Super ammunition in an old .38 Rimless
Smokeless automatic pistol, even though it will chamber
in these old guns).
