This grip fits the 32-20 Uberti/Navy Arms version of a Colt Single Action Army 1973 model. It is about 1/8 inch too short for some other Uberti clones, so measure and compare before ordering. Please note that there is another set of grips just like this one which is 1/8 inch longer in the butt section. That set often fits the other Uberti clones (45, 38, etc.) but again, there is a lot of variation so please measure your gun and compare to the specifications. However it is reported to be an excellent fit for the Taurus Gaucho. Note that this same grip can be ordered as a 3-piece kit, to make a 1-piece grip, or as two panels secured with a mounting screw (provided). If your gun has a removable backstrap and trigger guard, you have the option of either a screw or a 1-piece grip. If your grip frame does not come apart that way, you can't use a 1 piece grip. (The 1 piece grip is sent as two panels plus a spacer. You sand the panels to fit, then sand the spacer for perfect thickness on your gun, and use epoxy or contact cement to secure the spacer to one panel, then to the other after the first one is set.) These grips were made from an original Uberti/Navy Arms 32-20 revolver set of grips, which were carved from wood. The checkering shows the wood grain. It is a deeper and more widely spaced checkering than usual, and provides a very good grip for lighter recoiling guns. With a heavy recoil you may opt for a smooth grip which can slide through your hand and let the gun roll. The .45 Colt is pleasant enough to fire with these grips, whereas a 44 Magnum might be uncomfortable to some. Dimensions: A (front vertical top section, height)= 7/8 inch B (over-all height butt to top) = 2-15/16 inch C (width of the base) = 2-1/16 inch D (distance from center of front top to rear edge) = 1-1/2 inch E (width of the flat on top) = 1 inch If your gun has smaller grips, you can sand these down. But if your gun takes grips that are longer then 2-15/16 inches top to bottom, measured at right angle to the base, these are the wrong grips for it. Try the other set that looks just like this but is longer (taller) and wider at the butt.
